Humber County Hockey Academies are back next season 2022/23 and we hope to build U12-U15 Boys and Girls County teams following trial dates on 23rd and 24th August 2022.

We will only be running one County team per age group for each gender. Following age bands for players next season are:
U15 - DOB - 01/09/2007 - 31/08/2008 (Year 10 from Sept 2022)
U14 - DOB - 01/09/2008 - 31/08/2009 (Year 9 from Sept 2022)
U13 - DOB - 01/09/2009 - 31-08-2010 (Year 8 from 1 Set 2022)
U12 - DOB - 01/09/2010 - 31/08/2011 (Year 7 from 1 Sept 2022)

Trial dates:

Tuesday 23rd August 2022, Hymers College, Hymers Avenue, Hull.
9am - 12pm U15 Girls and Boys
1pm - 4pm U14 Girls and Boys

Wednesday 24th August 2022, Hymers College, Hymers Avenue, Hull
9am - 12pm U13 Girls and Boys
1pm - 4pm U12 Girls and Boys

Those successful at the August Trials will be invited to attend a further date in October Half Term to meet the respective squad.

If you are unable to make the trial dates in August please do let Humber County know and the coaches will arrange a date to see the player in school/club hockey before Friday 30th September.

Successful players will be notified by Saturday 1st October 2022.

As the England Player Pathway system is changing this year and moving to Talent Academies our focus at County level is adapting so we can best support players growth and movement toward the next level.

We are looking for talented school and club players who are ready to take hockey to the next level as they will be playing against other counties throughout the programme. Our closest Talent Academy will be based in South Yorkshire and for U15 and U17 squads there will only be 25 places per age group and gender selected from the whole Yorkshire region.

Therefore at the trials the coaches will be looking at core skills, individual stick skills, attacking and defensive principles, game play, fitness and teamwork.

Player cost to attend the trials is £15 - payable through bank transfer/ cheque.....
